Can I offer a suggestion? Before you decide to spend five or so minutes reading an article, read the headline and ask yourself about the author\u2019s motivation. For me it\u2019s become a very effective filter for what\u2019s worth my attention and what isn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>With that out of the way:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> American Express has partnered with Delta to offer targeted status matches to regular American Express Platinum cardholders. You can <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dlamexstatusmatch.com\/Home\/Index\">sign up at this link<\/a>, and see your matched <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dlamexstatusmatch.com\/Content\/PDF\/Airline%20Status%20Comparison%20Chart.pdf\">status tiers at this link<\/a>. A few notes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You need to have United, American, Alaska, JetBlue, or Southwest status to match<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019ll be matched to a higher tier at Delta than your existing tier<\/li>\n<li>The terms and conditions say the offer is targeted, but my guess is that it\u2019ll work for anyone<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019ll have Delta status through August 31 (or through January 2023 by <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dlamexstatusmatch.com\/Content\/PDF\/Requirements.pdf\">meeting these requirements<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget, you can get AA status through spend on a co-branded card.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> The Point debit card has 10x back at Target up to $500 in spend. If you have a <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/milesearnandburn.com\/index.php\/2021\/09\/14\/target-redcard-hacks\/\">Target Redcard credit card<\/a>, perhaps the best play is to make a payment in-store. If not, Visa gift cards are your best bet, and make sure you <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cashbackmonitor.com\/cashback-store\/target\/\">go through a shopping portal<\/a> in case the purchase tracks.<\/p>\n<p>As usual, if you want the Point card use a referral link for a better sign-up offer than is publicly available. As of yesterday, the sign-up offer is $100 back after spending $1,000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. <\/strong>Capital One has a 20% transfer bonus to Aeromexico and Avianca. The latter has a few nice sweet-spots, like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First Class (Lufthansa) US-Europe or vice-versa for 66,000 Membership Rewards, no fuel surcharges<\/li>\n<li>Economy US-Africa or vice-versa for 31,000 Membership Rewards, no fuel surcharges<\/li>\n<li>Business Class US-Europe or vice-versa for 49,000 Membership Rewards, no fuel surcharges<\/li>\n<li>Economy continental US-Caribbean for 10,000 Membership Rewards, no fuel surcharges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Hint:<\/em> There are others too, and they often involve a misunderstanding of basic world geography.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.<\/strong> Check for email from Citi for a targeted offer of 5x at electronics stores and game stores (and a few categories that aren\u2019t interesting) on both Premier and Prestige cards. Reportedly the subject is: <em>\u201c[Firstname], Use Your Citi Card to Earn Bonus ThankYou\u00ae Points on Eligible Purchases. It\u2019s So Simple to Activate!\u201d<\/em> (Thanks to <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/churning\/comments\/t44ihg\/comment\/hyx8rjn\/?utm_source=reddit&amp;utm_medium=web2x&amp;context=3\">TheSultan1<\/a> and <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/churning\/comments\/t44ihg\/comment\/hyxmxdg\/?utm_source=reddit&amp;utm_medium=web2x&amp;context=3\">FearTheZ<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><em>UPDATE:<\/em> Oliver let me know of a similar offer on the Citi AA Business card.
