Anyway:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> You may remember that Chase gave a year of DashPass to cardholders starting in January 2021, and for many of you that year is almost up. You can get another year as long as you do the following before January 1, 2022:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deactivate your DashPass membership<\/li>\n<li>Remove all your Chase cards from DoorDash (I had to do this from the website, I couldn\u2019t figure out how in the app)<\/li>\n<li>Wait one day<\/li>\n<li>Add a new (different from the one you used in January) Chase card to DoorDash<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(Thanks to <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/churning\/comments\/rmse1n\/daily_discussion_thread_december_23_2021\/\">Viper3773<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> A helpful tip courtesy of discussion at <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flyertalk.com\/forum\/delta-air-lines-skymiles\/2063005-fcm-buy-up-no-longer-worth.html\">Flyertalk<\/a>, and it\u2019s definitely applicable to some of the fares I\u2019ve already booked \u2014 in today\u2019s pandemic-era airline environment:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Almost all fares are changeable with no fee<\/li>\n<li>Almost all fares can be cancelled and held as expiring travel vouchers<\/li>\n<li>Paying for a First Class upgrade with cash or miles has gotten more expensive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So, if you\u2019re considering paying for a seat up front with a ticket you\u2019ve already booked, check the original cost of the ticket paired with the cost of an upgrade and compare that to the cost of a new ticket booked directly into First Class. If it\u2019s cheaper to book directly (right now it usually is), cancel your existing ticket, take the voucher, then use the funds to book into a proper First Class fare.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/vanillagift.com\/\">VanillaGift.com<\/a> has fee-free e-gift cards through this evening with code <em>EGIFT2021<\/em>. I\u2019m praying to the holiday gods that this one sticks around post expiration exactly the way that <em>FLASH2021<\/em> didn\u2019t, though being e-gift cards makes these slightly less useful so my prayer voice is more of a whisper.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.<\/strong> <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sofi.com\/newyear\/\">SoFi is giving $20<\/a> for checking your interest rate on a personal loan, and it only requires a soft-credit pull. It took me about 60 seconds to run through the motions, but a SoFi rep called my voicemail twice afterword so keep that in mind.
