If you have a Delta Platinum card, <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/qwww.americanexpress.com\/en-us\/account\/login?DestPage=https%3A%2F%2Fqwww.americanexpress.com%2Fus%2Fcredit-cards%2Fcard-application%2Fapply%2Fsupplementary%2Fdelta-skymiles-platinum-american-express-card%2F17651-10-0\">try your luck here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> Reader Pavel let me know that <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.turkishairlines.com\/en-tr\/miles-and-smiles\/campaigns\/perfect-time-to-get-your-award-ticket-with-30-percent-miles-discount\/index.html\">Turkish airlines is holding a 30% off sale<\/a> on both business class and economy tickets booked by the end of the year for travel from now through May 15, 2022. This is a great deal, but there are a few gotchas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Turkish awards can be difficult to book, especially for the first time on a frequent flyer account<\/li>\n<li>The award sale is only valid on Turkish metal, so no United or other Star Alliance flights can be tacked on <\/li>\n<li>Mixed cabin awards mostly aren\u2019t allowed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Booking tips can be found in <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/frequentmiler.com\/turkish-miles-smiles-complete-guide\/#Things_to_know_about_Turkish_Miles_Smiles_award_booking\">Frequent Miler\u2019s Turkish guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> Reader Pavish shared that his local Sam\u2019s Club is now selling $50-$500 variable Vanilla Visa and Mastercard gift cards. There are reports of the same thing in other locations too, so it could be worth checking your local club. The activation fee on these is low at $4.88, and unlike Metabanks, Vanilla cards work well in almost all liquidation channels. My first question is: Can I use a Walmart or Sam\u2019s Club gift card to purchase these?
