AirFrance \/ KLM Flying Blue is trying a little harder than normal right now, which is a welcome change from the status quo, also known as barely trying at all. Literally, barely at all.<\/p>\n

First, there\u2019s an AmEx transfer bonus of 30% bonus miles. This is useful when combined with Flying Blue\u2019s rotating promo awards<\/a>. It\u2019s also useful for extending the expiration of pre-COVID transferred miles from AmEx by two years. (It doesn\u2019t extend all miles, just partner earned miles. Again, they try barely at all.) By combining the two, you can find yourself going to Europe for under 50,000 Membership Rewards points in Business Class.<\/p>\n

Second, they have a miles earning shopping portal<\/a> that\u2019s a lot better than it used to be, with some stores earning at competitive rates (always check cashbackmonitor.com<\/a> though I don\u2019t think they display Flying Blue earning rates). This will also extend some miles by two years, but not all miles. Did I mention that they barely try at all?<\/p>\n
