{"id":222,"date":"2020-11-24T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-11-24T13:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesearnandburn.com\/?p=222"},"modified":"2023-04-18T14:56:16","modified_gmt":"2023-04-18T20:56:16","slug":"aa-status-for-flying-during-covid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesearnandburn.com\/index.php\/2020\/11\/24\/aa-status-for-flying-during-covid\/","title":{"rendered":"AA Status for Flying during COVID"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you\u2019re into AA status, AA hasn\u2019t shut you down yet, and you have any MasterCard that\u2019s a World Elite MasterCard (like the Citi Double Cash), there\u2019s a super-easy way to earn AA status:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sign up for the <a href=\"https:\/\/travel.mastercard.com\/selector?redirectUrl=%2Fproduct%2Fhomepage\">MasterCard Travel service<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Book two round-trip flights (at least one domestic) for Gold<\/li>\n<li>Book two round-trip flights (international) for Platinum<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The travel has to be completed by March 31, 2021 to qualify. What\u2019s the rub? There\u2019s always a rub. You have to book the flights through the MasterCard Travel concierge, I believe over the phone.
