To that end, Having that number ready to go might mean you make it. Sample:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earn side:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Return on spend from your credit card: 4%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Return on spend from the deal: 5%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cost side:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Round-trip ticket: $360 (30,000 miles at 1.2 cents each)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rental car: $100<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hotel room: $300<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meals: $100<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let&#8217;s call that about $1,000 to keep it easy (just like physicists use \u03c0=3 to keep it easy), which means you&#8217;d have to spend around $11,100 to cover your costs, excluding opportunity cost at home of course. There are lots of places that will let you spend that amount in a single transaction, so it can be a quick return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course there&#8217;s opportunity cost, you might hate traveling, you may have a family or job to consider, or maybe you don&#8217;t believe in UFOs. This isn&#8217;t a complete analysis, just a go number.
